Taking alcohol on board - packing question

Hi

My partner and I are going on our first cruise in August, with Royal Caribbean, and I know that we are allowed to take two bottles (75l) of wine on board with us on but do I need to pack this in my carry on or in my checked baggage?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I suggest your carry on.   The porters are not exactly easy on your checked bags,  the wine may break open in your checked bag and then you have a mess that the cruise line will not do anything about.

Thank you very much for your advice- carry on it is Happy

Carry on--- and check ahead of time so that they don't take it away. If they find it in your luggage they will take it away as well.

Open it in your cabin to avoid the corkage fee.

If RCL is like Carnival, it MUST be in your carry-on... or carry it in it's own bag as carry-on.  BAK has good advice, so pack a cork screw.
