T.S. Erika-Stay Alert And Stay Informed

For all fellow members that may be cruising to the Caribbean or Bahamas this weekend, PLEASE stay informed about any possible changes that may take place to your itineraries due to Tropical Storm Erika. Contact your cruise agent and/or the cruise line itself to inquire about possible changes. Also keep in mind that high seas may be present for any cruises leaving from the East Coast of the U.S. as winds from storms such as this tend to be strong East of the center of the storm. Stay Safe, Stay Informed.

I hope St. Martin gets some much needed rain and that all stay safe.

Everyone who lives in FL should also keep a close watch on the path of the Erika. It looks like now it will not hit where I live on the east coasar but you never know with these storms. .

Rain ? what is Rain ? I live in So Cal. we can not remember what rain is.

Excellent reminder for everyone!! It is another risk associated with vacations, not just cruises. But, it does impact cruises in that ships may let you board but will change itineraries without notice if safety is a concern.

Hoping for smooth sailing for everyone heading off over the coming couple months.

Even though now down graded to just heavy rain and thunder storms, the seas to the East (East Coast waters along Florida) and for cruises sailing South from area's like Texas, Tampa or New Orleans will experience higher than normal seas and like CM stated, there may be itinerary changes for your cruise so STAY INFORMED!!!
