Super Bowl

If you were cruising today, would you plan your day so you could watch the Super Bowl or would you forget about "the big game" and just enjoy your cruise?

As much as I enjoy watching football, I wouldn't pay any attention to it if I was cruising. Not even if the Seattle SeaHawks were playing. Wink

DH would probably try to watch it--I would do as usual and ignore it.

I would watch it  while my DH would ignore it. That in fact is happening at our house right now.

My wife would watch for sure, me not so much if something else was going on.

We usually watch the  big game at our son's home or one of his friends. But last year was the second time we were on a cruise for the game. The first was in the South China Sea in 1994, they got it on the ship, a poor signal but good enough and the game started about 3:00 AM, of course there were a lot of us die hard's. But last year was super, one of the best ways to watch the super bowl going, we were on the Regal in the Bahamas, wet and relatively chilly for the game. I watched for a bit in our cabin then went up to the big screen (you know, the huge outdoor one you can see from half a mile away). Everybody had taken all the best viewing areas much earlier. But I noticed way up high, a little deck they had removed the lounges from due to the possibility of inclement weather. I went up there, found a little stool and had a great seat. I bought one of those buckets of beer. Before the game was over about 10 others joined me, a crew man came and put the regular seats back out, we all got along great, I ran out of beer and was heading down to get more but they stopped me, said hey, we got lots. share ours.

Yesterday, about one third of those gathered left early since the game was a "blowout". Haw, I warned everybody going into the fourth, you can't let a throwing quarterback like Brady get into a rhythm. Like Montana, Elway, etc. they can destroy you if you do the prevent defense stuff. What a game.

If my team were playing, I would certainly make the time. Using yesterday's game as an example, if we were cruising, I wouldn't have bothered.

Where are you from Ctav?  Also if I was on a cruise I definitely would watch the game.

Southwest Ohio.

I was an avid Bengals fan from day one when they were in the AFL. Yelp showing my age here.  To say the least, they are a very Fan Frustrating Team for sure. However, after the last walk out they had, I was finished with the leauge. Same with MLB and the NHL.
