Still as excited as for your very first cruise?

It's no secret any more that I'm a Newbie and getting ready for my first cruise (24 days!) and the excitement is at times unbearable!  I eat and sleep cruising! lol  I don't think it's a bad thing personally, however.....

I'm just wondering from YOU the more experienced cruisers, does the feeling ever change?   I can't imagine it ever feeling ho-hum or like just another vacation.  It's just such a good feeling that I don't want to loose!  Perhaps a "cruising high"? Happy   Oh and I'm working on my next one already!   I heard that is good advice too.  I'm learning so much here! Big Smile

The feeling never goes away......

It is a different feeling, but just as exciting (at least for me). You know the basics and don't fret over things like, did I pack enough, do I need this, etc. I get so excited my DH won't let me pack until the day before we fly so that I have something to do that last day. When we talk to friends that are new to cruising... I have to remember not to go into "let me tell everything" mode and let them ask questions. This is why I enjoy finding a forum for cruisers.  We can talk to each other and no one rolls their eyes with the "oh there she goes again" look.  Can't wait until you return from you cruise to hear all about your trip.

My first cruise was my honeymoon so I can't say that every cruise is AS exciting (LOL) but I still love to cruise and look forward to each and every one of my voyages!

Thanks AuntPinkie!  Some of my non-cruising friends already think I need "therapy".  lol   They just don't "get it", and that's okay.  I figure it's their loss. Big Smile   I'm a happy pre-cruiser!

Ummm.... Yes, I guess some things might be a little different, depending on the circumstances.  LOL    I'll be with just my girlfriends this time and I KNOW it will be CRAZY!   My next one will be with the family and more subdue, but the anticipation and be just as strong I have a feeling! Big Smile

Tell them your going on "Cruise Therapy"   Wink

After cruising for 20 years I still look forward to each cruise.  I typically only book a few weeks to a few months out so no long waiting for my cruise fix.   My next booked one is 8 months out and I;m already excited for it,  I may try and fit in a quickie local cruse or something before that,  8 months is a long time.

I am by no means a veteran cruiser but I can surely say that in my case the excitement never goes away. It was 6 years between my first and second cruise and I was probably more excited for the second one having acquired the addiction from the first. We booked our 4th cruise four months ago and have been excited with anticipation since. I am still excited even though we are 265 days away. I start dreaming and anticipating the next cruise before finishing the current one. And so far as I know there is no cure for this.

Absolutely, it is always exciting!  Maybe because it is a new ship or destination, maybe because we are revisiting old favorites, or maybe because we are travelling with first-timers and get to experience the joy of discovery through their eyes – we really look forward to each and every cruise! Love

Yes, we are just as excited about our upcoming 5th cruise next March because we book a different ship each time, and visit different ports. How can we not be excited about that? WooHoo!
