Steam Room and Sauna on Carnival Freedom

Does anyone know if, on the Carnival Freedom, the steam room and sauna are part of the spa (pay to use) or part of the gym (free to use)?

You MUST try the Lotus Spa ENCLAVE on the Royal in April - steam/sauna room are awesome as is the indoor therapy pool!

I am seriously thinking about a day in the Enclave.

Pretty sure the 10 day pass would cost a bit too much thoughBig Smile

The casino comped it ...they are starting to comp more than free drinks and dinner now. So if they ask if you want a free drink, say no but I'd love a day in Enclave lol

I'll be getting the drink package anyway, so a casino drink would mean nothing to me. A day at the Enclave though -- Heaven!

If Catalin Nedelcu is still Casino Host in April, talk to him - he was super and gave us the Enclave for all 4 days on the last cruise .... wish we'd known sooner lol. They finally wised up that people with drink package don't need comped drinks!

Enclave on Royal:

The Enclave® – The central feature of Princess’ largest-ever thermal suite is the dramatic hydro-therapy pool to help rejuvenate the mind and body with a cascading rain shower and therapeutic air jets in various locations around the pool. Passengers can also choose to relax on heated stone beds or soothing water beds, plus enjoy steam and sauna options using different temperatures, humidity zones, and aroma infusions to offer a sense of rejuvenation. New features include:

The Hammam – A Turkish-style steam bath to enhance well-being, the Hammam’s warm marble slab is a soothing addition to a massage and can be used with clay, mud or salt treatments. The Caldarium – A feature taken from Roman times, this warm, light steam ceramic chamber offers an infusion of herbal aromas. Walls, floors and seats are heated for a deep penetrating warmth that promotes relaxation. The Laconium – This warm, dry chamber gradually warms the body to help with purification and detoxification. Sensory Showers – Passengers can choose from four different experiences: Tropical Rain, Cold Mist, Rain Shower or Siberian Shower, which also include dynamic mood lighting and aromas to enrich the experience.

Checked with my son and he said he thought it was $39 per day or $200 for entire cruise - well worth it.

Unless they’ve changed it since we sailed Carnival Freedom (judging by the deck plans, it still looks the same) there is a free-to-use sauna and steam room in each locker room (so men and woman are separate). No spa appointment requiredHappy!

Makes a good way to totally relax after a "stressful" day at the port!

Couldn’t agree more!
