Stages of Cruising (and cruise addiction)

So my mind (of course) is on my upcoming cruise, and then I see all the happy posts of cruisers off today, tomorrow, or next week... Made me start to think what would the stages of cruising and cruise addiction be... Similar to the stages of grief, but for cruising. So it might be something like:

Obsessing (Constantly looking for the next cruise deal)

Saving (to pay for the cruise)

Researching (the ship, destinations and everything about the company)

Anger (That you are not on the cruise)

Anxious (as the date approaches)

Excitement (That the day has come)

Depression (When you disembark and come back to the real world)

Back to Obsessing.....

What would your stages be?

You forgot about the "terminal" stage Yummy

Is that the stage of abject depression when you have to search for your luggage in the terminal?

My stages,

Watch prices everyday

Pick cruise

Go on cruise

Make sure I have one booked when I get off ship, to combat post cruise depression.

I am in the drooling stage watching all these single digit count down peeps here. I still have 8 months to go .... but ... I do have a cruise to look forward to Big Smile

I'm in a permanent state of obsession and research, even when being shared with the other stages.

Its a vicious cycle and sometimes you go back and forth between a few times before strting all over.

All of the posts above.  I did pay off my car though so now I can reboot my bank account to start planning more cruises. Not till next summer or fall though. :(

Yaaayyy!! but boooo. Sad I know the feeling of paying a car off is great. Just tuck the money for the payment into a secret cruise fund, and you will be on the high seas in no time.
