Spotting luggage on a carousel

If you’re tired of trying to find your black luggage in a continuous line of black luggage on an airport carousel or a sea of luggage in a cruise terminal then tape stripes on your luggage with colored duct tape. I used neon orange and I can see my luggage a mile away.

Good tip... I've used straps or screaming hot pink yarn on the handles too.

We've done this for years and it works wonderfully well!

You can also get Electronic luggage finders. one part goes on your luggage and you carry a remote, when you get to the baggage area, set off the pager and your luggage will beep and have a light on the pager turn on. As long as the airlines do not smash them they work well.

Yeah, that's the sticking point... depending on the airlines to not bust them up... Wink

We have tied red ribbons on our luggage also

Never buy black bags anymore. We buy buy the loudest/brightest bags we can find.

I always put a strip of brightly coloured duct tape on our luggage, right near the handle. Then I write our name, ship, cabin, and sail date on it.

Same here. Groupon has some UGLY bags--we have a pink and green camo print and a gold bag. No danger of anyone else wanting them.

Aunt Pinkie, First its great to see your face again ! I've missed seeing all of the "Great Ole Timers" with the Best Advice Ever, from Carnival chat pages that disappeared. Missed you, and Rusty Bucket advise and so many others. Good to know where to find you !!

We also have Black suitcase as millions of others. Have found old fashion luggage tags ( the ones you fill out name, address, etc. ) in Hot Pink or Big, bright bold designs and attached them. Out hang up bag has a huge fluff ball attached to it that I guess you would describe like what we use to attach to our roller skates in the day. LOL ! Wink. I like the idea of the Colored tape. We have a cruise sailing away in 26 days, Yeah !, and I'm going today to get some Pink. Thanks everyone for the tip !

Who were you on FV ?

byw I think you mean CrustyBucket. I talk to him every so often. He recently did a Viking Cruise
