Spa Services

I'm not a "spa" person usually but wonder how normal users find the cruise spas to be ...Do you go to the spa as part of treating yourself on a cruise?

Me, no.

My wife, on the other hand, has to have at least a massage.

(Not sure how normal I am though. It depends on who you ask)

To expensive for the time of a massage.

Ship's spa can be good or bad as the therapist that you get.   I do book a deep tissue massage on some cruises.   It is never as good as the therapist I use at home,  not as long, cost more and then has the sales pitch for the spa products at the end.    I tell them going in Not to bother with the sales pitch at the end.

I have never used the hair cut or shave service at the spa.  If it is a 6 week trip I just get hair cut short before the trip and tend to get a bit shaggy by the end.

I splurge on a massage, because I'm not one that book them normally here at home. I like to relax and indulge on a cruise, so why not. I ignore the hard sale with their end of massage/facial pitch

I love massages but have never gotten one while cruising.  Too pricey.

Couples message a must. and of course I do the guys facial and shave. I get pampered on every cruise, as I don't have the time to do that here.

We have had massages once, I was willing to pay twice what I pay for it at home. Then after a decent not good massage I get battered for ten minutes of sale pitch of what I need to take home. I left the room miffed, have not been back.

I get spoiled because , dammit, I deserve it.......I'm paying for it ....... Now back at home we have the parlours, but my wife won't let me go there......Big Smile
