Does anyone know if you can still buy a day pass for the spa? I did this a few years ago but I read where someone thought they didn't do it anymore. We are sailing on the Sunshine.

They might just have limited passes. I was on the allure, and they had limited passes they were selling for some of the areas.

Depends on how many of the cruise long passes they sell the first 2 days. If they sell out of the cruise long that means that there is no capacity left for the daily passes. If they don't sell out then they try to recoup those lost sales by selling the daily pass. Also remember on the Sunshine the pass is only for the thermal suites there is no Thalassotherapy Pool available or even a pass access only hot-tub, that's why the pass prices are about 1/2 of the other Cloud 9 ships.

We usually book a spa facility package if the facilities are worthy of a daily visit. Princess and Celebrity still had day passes when we cruised in 2015

BUT.... an important caveat is Ito check out what the place looks like first. We were sadly disappointed with the facilities on one ship and were darn glad that we did. They were abysmal... a small dark box with no windows, only four heated benches and extremely small steam and sauna rooms. On another cruise, we had Aqua class that came with access to the spa... and it was great. Well worth the extra cost of an AC room.

I am NOT a spa guy, never was into getting a mani-pedi or massage therapy. Then I go and broke my ankle, needing treatment and rehabbing after surgery. My sales rep from NCL sells me an absurdly cheap ticket on the Pearl, an unbeatable price I've never seen since. I booked a package to use the Mandala Spa's therapy pool and massages. The best was the free wheelchair rides from my cabin in the stern all the way to the spa in the bow. One hell of a walk in that damned boot! I had the best masseuse--twice a day from a stolidly-built Filipina who was STRONG! They wouldn't let me take photos of the spa. While the experience wasn't cheap, it was beneficial. Buy the package.

You sure can $20/day on Sunshine. Head over upon boarding & get one. Have fun & enjoy for 'me time'.
