I've cruised Princess and NCL, Hoping to do a Celebrity, maybe to Alaska. I found Princess quite good, but in discussing Celebrity with my son who has cruise twice with them, He calls it a draw. Remember, no matter what you buy or what you do, You get what you pay for.

I have not done Princess since 1997, that was my first and last time on Princess. The food was not good in the MDR and had issue with the dining staff because I was not eating much, they got upset when I answered that I would eat more if the food was better. The Ship was nice (The Dawn Princes was new back then), good size cabin, good cabin staff and good entertainment. It was the dinning room staff and food that stopped me from going on Princess since then.

Celebrity is my favorite from the first trip on the Infinity back in 2005. The food, Service and ships (the Equinox is my favorite ship) have been top notch. Celebrity has had great Lectures series, The rise and fall of the German U-boats during WWII by a retired British WWII Commander and a History of famous Ships through history. You know your on a premium brand when on Celebrity.

I was surprised that Princes rated as good as Celebrity, especially in the food department. I may give Princes another try after reading the smackdown. But it would be hard to give up my free laundry and drinks on Celebrity.

We've done B2Bs on both. Would take either again in a heartbeat.

If I had two cruises with similar itineraries I would always choose Celebrity. I have cruised on both lines. I feel that the shows are too short on Princess. I would also take take into account the age of the ship. I thought the ratings were were pretty fair.

I have sailed on both lines, I have 23 cruises with Princess and one with Celebrity. The main difference in the number is price. I have always been able to find Princess and a substantially cheaper fares. However, in the last year they have become pretty close. I am ready to try Celebrity again, as I had a great time on the Constellation in 2002.
