Help ....the cruise web site not letting me book a return to airport shuttle? Our flight is noon. Any suggestions on alternate transportation?
Shuttle from Carnival Sunshine Jan 16 to MCO airport (Orlando)
Usually, airport shuttles are booked once you are onboard the ship. You could wait for that. Another option is to jump in a cab. They are always waiting at the dock.
Also, you can do a web search for airport shuttle services in the CC area and book something on your own.
My only experience cruising out of the CC port was when we did one-way car rentals and drove ourselves out and back from MCO. That worked out but may not be the most economical way of transferring.
When we sailed out of PC in September, traffic in and out of the port was a mess due to construction. We had rented a car from MCO and took the shuttle from Budget to PC. We were so glad not to be driving into the port. Might want to check on the construction situation and traffic flow before you make a decision and to plan your timing to get back to MCO.
We have previously found PC to be an easy port to navigate--September was definitely not what we had found to be the norm.
When we sail from PC, we usually book the return shuttle once we are on the ship and if we have a late enough flight turn it into a "shore tour" with transportation to the airport. The Space Center is very interesting and fun if you are the first people inside the gates. It probably helped I had my own personal guide that had been there for several launches..my DH.
