SHIPS WATER....probably better than yours....

Well, for a long time, and up to our last cruise not all that long ago, we each "snuck" a 6 of bottled water each in our carry ons...The more I think about it, the less sense it makes...why shlepp the stuff? why do folks do it?  we get a buncha water as perks, and when it runs out we refill em with ships tap water and put em in the frig...or stuff em in the ice bucket.

where d'you think they get water from....well yes...that's EXACTLY  where they get their "fresh" water from...no ship can get even close to carrying enough...we've taken a few ships tours (take one if offered) and seen the desalinization/purification plants. amazing stuff...and besides, it can cure gout, grow hair, relieve rheumatizz…..

We have always been quite content with the ships water. Or I should qualify and say my wife has always been content with the ships water. My tastes ... well ... water is not usually on the list Wink

Nor mine...always plenty of places to slake ones thirst....everywhere...every few feet seems like heheheheh

My DH was the "public health officer"  on several bases during his Air Force tenure, he says the same about the water being safe.  Not only that but the random health inspections insure that the process is kept up to date.  We drink the water on the ship, but take bottled water ashore.

Edit: we like to keep hydrated between the other beverages.Wink

We drink the ship's water as well as per purchased bottled water.

We do the same, and bring water ashore, on the rare occasions we go...and we get off no place that doesn't have a jitney on the pier...they seem to be getting longer and longer...why is that???

I think as we get older (not implying anything here) distances get longer, time gets shorter, doctors are 12yo and new parents are much much younger. At least it appears that way to me.

Oops, sorry, I got off track.

Your track is just fine...……...besides, some things get better with ummmm...maturity....as far as md's go...I kinda like the younger ones...they know more stuff.....at least I think they do...the older ones are sitting next to me on any cruise I go on seems like...

This was one of those long running and often quite heated topics that was fun to read on FV with very divided factions. But what I found very amusing were the "only bottled water for me because ship water tasted bad" folks also wanted ice in their cabin to pour their bottles water over.

Ship water is good for me.

The ships water is fine. It doesn't change the taste of my alcohol too much when it melts.

On the other hand, those plastic bottles just don't cool my drink as well.
