Ships in bad weather

Another article I found (yes I'm procrastinating going to work...)

http://www.cruisehive.com/what-happens-when-the-cruise-ship-bad-weather/12267

Peeked my attention because my BF is obsessed with the hurricanes far off the coasts and thinks we are going to have issues... I will have to keep an eye out for the barf bags (never knew that!)

Unless you are sailing RC (sorry for the cheap shot) (not reallyBig Smile), the Captain will sail outside of the really heavy weather. You might get into some of the hurricane bands, but those aren't too bad.

In 2014 I did the western Caribbean cruise.  There were two storms on the eastern side and the captain kept us away from all of it by speeding up or slowing down.  No problems at all.

Been there, done that!

That would be such a blast !!!!!

I agree, the ship's captain will steer around any rough weather if at all possible.

That they will.

C'mon... a little rough seas is good for you......

if  rough seas were a detriment... then America would never have been founded.

If the ship is rocking R ro L,   I get drunk enough to sway L to R and all balances out.

I’d rather be on a ship that can move to avoid a storm than at a resort in the path of one any day!

I as well.  After spending all that money I want a smooth enjoyable ride.
