"Secret" spots on cruise ships

JohnGold mentioned secret spots on the Island Princess.  I did an internet search and found that there are several other cruise ships with "secret" spots.

We didn't learn about the ones on the Island Princess until we were waiting to disembark.... sure wish we had know. I was aware of the ones on the Carnival Ships we have sailed. I really like that area on the Spirit Class of ship. This is a fun thread, thanks for sharing!

We often went out on the "secret" deck in front of our room on the Sunshine, first thing in the morning, and only met one other person all week. It was great - deck 7 right under the bridge. We could sit on the bench, but preferred to be at the railing looking out at nothing but the ocean. So peaceful!

Oh you were on the Island Princess. I'm sailing on her May 4. Do you have anything to pass along about your time on the ship?

We sailed on her in December for the Panama Canal transit. The crew was one of the friendliest we have met. At the time there were some plumbing issues that were being worked on as we sailed...they should be fixed by now. We had our best room steward,ever... and that is saying a lot as we've had some very good ones over the years. Be prepared, the showers are small...we hit our elbows all the time. I read this in a review and thought "all cruise ship showers are small" ....these are smaller than average. There are some photos of the interior on my review. I think this link will take you there: https://cruiseline.com/ship/island-princess/review/434018

Thanks AuntPinkie for that link. Since I'm turning 50 this year I decided to splurg and booked a mini suite. So hopefully won't be banging my elbows. I'm getting into my pre cruise worries again. Last cruise on the Grand Priness was so good I'm worried about a let down on this one. But just about all the reviews for Island have been positive. I have my bag packed already!

By the Internet cafe on deck 8 there re a couple of alcoves that are nice quiet places. Deck 10 or 11 forward during the transit of the canal Deck 8 aft. Perfect place to have a quiet reflective moment.

Back corner of the library Perfect.

I agree with all of these. The La Patisserie on deck 5 was a good place to have a drink and people watch.

Even more stoked for the cruise now. Thanks Johngold and AuntPinkie.

I always search out secret places on a ship on Embarkation Day.

Oh great, something else with the ever elusive, "secret spot". Well, a ship is a she.
