Sea Day Sale

In a blatant attempt to get more points I thought of a question:

On the Ruby Princess cruise a couple weeks ago I went to the Sea Day Sale for the ship’s stores.  It was suppose to be this great 70% off bonanza.  I went and saw nothing that interested me.  It looked like they were just getting rid of old stock or ugly clothes I’d never wear in public.  The jewelry and watches were of no interest to me.

Anyone ever find a good deal during the Sea Day Sale?  If so, what was it?

I love your honesty. LOL

On our first cruise Mike bought a sweatshirt that was on sale mid week and it's really good quality. Last spring I found a long sundress that had been $79, marked down to $19 on the 2nd day. It was the last one, and it happened to be my size so I bought it.

The clothes on sale near the end of the cruise have never featured anything we have been interested in buying, and I've read more poor reviews than positive about the jewellery so I don't even take a look at it.

DD found a purse that she liked, but that's about the only real bargain we've found.

DH forgot (ready for this?) swim trunks on our last cruise.  We enjoyed paying full price rather than waiting for the sea day sale. Crying Something you other folks might want to consider Big Smile

We plan to shop at these when we can as we get souvenirs for the family and friends.  I usually get t-shirts for me. But we do get a bunch of tacky things .

I've never found anything I really needed during the sales, but my wife finds a way to spend the money anywayBig Smile

We have found a couple of T-shirt’s, handbags and a couple food books. We rarely go anymore.

I bought a couple of $10 watches to wear at work.  Both were broken within 2 months.   Someone we met bought a few to give as give as gifts.   Glad I wasn’t on his gift list.

I generally stay away from the $10 watches. I do get a few t-shirts for my BIL who watches our house and feeds the dog and cats.

I've gotten a nice mid-weight pullover for $19 marked down from $59, and some really nice tee shirts.
