I love Transatlantic cruises,   I have done both ways and I'd do one again.

I would suggest you sign up for the "Roll Call" to meet and chat with people on your exact cruise.

1.  Top page header,  click down arrow under "more"

2. click on "Roll Call"

3. Fill in date, ship

I would also suggest you get "Ship Mate" app on your smart phone,  they have reviews for each port on what to do and where to eat.  They also have non-ship excursions for each port that you can look into.

Rome is one of my favorite cities in the world.   I hope you booked a post cruise stay for a few days or a week.   Rome is easy to get around with the subway,  nice people and great food,  the small family run hole in the wall places have the best food.   The expensive restaurants on the main streets are over priced and not as good of food.

In Rome and more so in Spain watch for pick pockets and thieves,  think purse on shoulder strap carried in front of you and closed with a clasp and zipper.

If it is your first time to these places you can see free video's on YouTube by Rick Steves that are very good on what to do in what countries.  Watching them can also get you into the traveling mood.

Have a great trip and we look forward to your review when you get back.Big Smile
