Rome Hotel?

Hey all, thinking about a transatlantic from Rome and flying in a day or two early. Look to me the airport sits in the middle between the port and Rome itself.

Who has sailed and do you have any hotel recommendations? Thanks

Wehn I flew into Rome the airport was not to far from the city.  We took a limo from the hotel to the port and it was about 1  1/2 hour drive.  We stayed at the Hotel Villafranca   https://www.hotelvillafrancarome.com/  It was nothing to fancy but it was clean had a private bath room (some Italian hotels have shared bathrooms off the hallway).  The hotel was a block off the subway station,  walk able to the main train station and had a lot of places around it to eat.  Between the hotel and the subway station was a great little pizza place and the other direction was a great little cafe on the main street about 4 blocks down near Via National and a small market a few blocks away.

One night in Rome is not enough time.   If you can spend a couple days it is a great city to walk around and see all the places from history.  I have spent a few weeks in Rome before and after cruises and I'd be happy to go back,

Following. We are doing a Greek Isles cruise out of Rome in September 2019. So excited but it's my dad's and I's first time in Europe.

Thanks JusMe, I will look into it nowBig Smile
