ROMAINE LETTUCE

Just got an alert re the CDC telling peeps nationwide to NOT eat the stuff, anywhere, from anywhere. throw it out. major E.coli outbreak. Stores shouldn't sell it, restaurants shouldn't serve it..on and on. never seen anything like it. they have no idea where the contaminated stuff is coming from. just so happens we eat Caesar salad all the time on board, and ashore. we just did! and just about everybody we know munches on the stuff sooner or later. Wonderful ain't it?

Been cleared up. Stores pulled it all, next crop is coming in. Actually heard it was California lettuce that was contaminated.

Yep but this week was broccoli and some other green .... all the more reason to be a carnivore I guess ... as 1 person in the office said .... "when was the last time you heard of someone getting e-coli from bacon"

Arugula, kale, and spinach have been my choices since the initial outbreaks.
