Re: Those Disembarkation Hints

Here's the best hint.

While everyone is standing in the elevator banks trying to go down, go off to the end and press the UP^ button. Chances are the car will be empty. Get on it !!!!! Then just go for the ride. The elevators are always full going down, but empty going up.

Really.

no one else thought this was a good tip ?

Sad

We always have FTTF, so crew members with radios control the elevator and finds us room on one pretty quick.

I tried that on my last cruise, didn't work.

We try not to make close air transport reservations so we're not rushed to get to the airport. Just hang out in the lounge and wait for the announcement.

When we have early flights, we drag our luggage off ourselves, early. It makes for a much faster disembarkation, and a shorter wait in the customs line.

However, we have not booked early flights since 2017, and ALWAYS (now) stay a day after the cruise in a hotel.

If you dont book close-in flights, this is the best piece of advice I can give you, because, it allows you to pack your bags however to make whatever fit, and not be concerned about keeping the weight below the Airline Maximum. You can re-pack in the hotel, instead of wasting precious cruise time to weigh your bags out!
