RCI rules on door decor and power strips

I have searched and I am finding a lot of rules or Carnival and Disney but I am going on Royal

Caribbean in 27 days and I would like to know if anyone has any information as to weather I can take my power strip ( NON SURGE) with me and where I have to pack it if I can, -checked bag or carry on-  and if I can decorate my Cabin Door.   haven't run across any photos of this for RCI.  Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me out with these questions.

I was on a ship tour & Lunch & I did see door decorations but they were from the cruise line.  I think that you could pack your power strip wherever you want.  Use it after your steward has cleaned your room just in case.  We use ours on HAL & it isn't a problem but I do not know abourt RCCL.

Thanks for responding ,

Yes I have seen the decorations for the rooms from their gift shop but I am going to just bring mine and worst case they ask me to remove it.

If you are unsure about packing the decorations and power bar, it would be a good idea to call the toll free number and speak with someone from RCCL instead of getting advice that could be wrong here.

I hope you have a great time on your cruise.

Well BonMike, I did that twice before asking the question here and both times the reps acted like they had no clue as to  what I was talking about. So I am just asking here to see if any past cruiser has had an experience with any of these items before I go. As I am going to take both anyway it would just be nice to be well informed by someone else's experience first.  But I thank you for your advice.

Place the power strip in carry on.  If they question it, you'll know.  If you put it in checked luggage, they may just remove it.

As far a door decorations, I like to bring one of those quick install screen doors, so I can keep my door open and get a cross breeze, but keep the bugs out.    On the door, my wife is an amazing spray paint artist.  She's made some really nice murals that we get compliments on all the time.

these are a pair of elevator doors she did on the Splendor

thanks for these great suggestions.  Also does your wife sell the door decorations!  They are beautiful.

No, she just leaves them on the ship. I mean, what the hell, it's a cabin door.....

cool

Bless your heart

This is the cabin door she painted on the Gem.  They keep threatening to charge us, but they never do.  It's easier to keep it since they get so many compliments.  We have had the same cabin 4 times now, so she never gets to do a new door.
