Question of the Week: Where Do You Like to Eat on a Cruise?

Tried it on the Conquest. It was dry and tasteless. Looks better than it tastes.
What was dry and tasteless? Am I missing something?

It depends! If we feel like dressing up, we will enjoy the wonderful cuisine in the main dining room (anytime dining was a wonderful idea!). But if we have just returned from an onshore expedition and are in shorts and t-shirts, we will definitely head for the buffet and have an equally enjoyable dinner. We have found, on Princess, at least, that either choice is perfect. We have not tried any of the specialty venues because, quite honestly, we haven't found the need to pay for a meal.
Buffet for breakfast, lunch MDR and buffet depending. Dinner is MDR specialty restaurant occasionally.

Yes, all of the above! The variety of dining options is one of the things we love about cruising!
I eat in the MDR for breakfast and my evening meals. I will venture up to the Lido deck for lunch on embarkation day.
that sums me up pretty well also, mornings, I will ramble up to lido for a cup of coffee and a quick something, then go to the MDR for breaky or brunch, lido for later lunch, salad or a piece of pizza. MDR for supper then yea probably a grilled Rueben from room service for a late night snack.
Room service in the morning for coffee and a bagel. Then a light breakfast on the lido around 1100 am. Probably a Guys Burger later in the day. Maybe the MDR for dinner and then late night room service.
On Celebrity the MDR for most meals. Food is good enough to not need the specialty dining. On Carnival, MDR for dinner, once a trip to the Steak House, Guys burgers once or twice, the Burrito bar for lunch and the Lido for snacking and the Deli. On RCI the MDR for most meals. On NCL the specialty dining as much as possible since I do not care for the MDR service or food.
Wherever the food is .
Seriously, LeBistro & Cagneys on NCL. Also, their MDR for breakfast & dinner. Buffet for snacking.
Pinnacle on HAL
Portofinos on RCCL
