Question About a Shore Excursion

I'm sailing on RC in November, and due to an unvaccinated minor, I have to take a ship sponsored Shore Excursion. The one my family and I booked is to Icon Park (since that seemed to be the only one that might interest my niece), which we know nothing about. From what I read on the park website, it doesn't seem like there's much to do there with a 9 year old. I know that there's Madam Tussaud's and a Ferris Wheel, along with an aquarium. What else is there to do in the park?

Here's the thing if the cruise line is requiring a "Bubble Tour" due to someone in your group being unvaccinated then you need to stick with the tour group. But this tour is in Florida so once off the ship with the tour group the state's openness mandates should allow you to tour the area on your own during the group's free time.

Your excursion ticket price should included admission to Madam Tussaud's and the Sea Life Aquarium, each takes about an hour to explore. That leaves about another 2 hours to see things on your own, but if the excursion time will span a meal you might want to budget some time to sit and enjoy some food.

Any other attractions on this small section of International Drive will be at your own expense, as Icon Park is not a single enclosed amusement area but a loose co-op of about 40 different individually operated venues including shopping and restaurants. If you want to to take in the views from 400 foot high (Observation) Wheel my suggestion is to buy your tickets and reserve time slot as soon as the bus to Orlando from Cape Canaveral lets you out.

I think there’s a train ride the 9 year old may enjoy. And an arcade of some sort.
