Royally Disappointed Diamond

In response to review, bestwaytotravel says ...

You have been cruising with Royal for 23 years and this is the first time you post and you post the same thing on Cruise Critic and same thing there, on one review! In 23 years, only one review???

Yes, that is correct 23 years! I never felt the need to write a review before but this ship was so stressful I really felt the need to share my experience with others. I have been a cruise critic and cruise line reader for many many years. I am assuming people from Royal Caribbean read these sites as well. Thought it might be a good way to get my negative comments out there rather then trying to pursue the correct person to get my comments too. Will also be sending them a letter…

Thank you for your review. I was waiting to see how the reviews go on the new ship. I happen to like the MDR in ships so dinner is stress free, at a set time, table and staff. I have tried NCL's Freestyle Cruising and prefer the set dinning. How can you know what restaurant your in the mood for weeks in advance when you book ?

JusMe, I too was waiting on comments. We have been on 5 cruises with RCCL and were happy with all of them. We have Anthem booked in the spring and were a bit weary about the My Time Dinning. We like the MDR format, same table, waiter....a lot more personal. I am not looking forward to the long wait lines for lunch & dinner that crazyforcruises spoke of.

Thanks for the review. You have confirmed some of my fears about these huge ships. I have not sailed on one as of yet. Prefer the smaller ships.

It is not the big ships, it is just their new concept. I have sailed on Allure, best cruise I have ever been on. lots to do/see/great shows/dining....The only think that I fear is the dining concept on Quantum and Anthem.

Thanks for the review crazyforcruises. We also enjoy the main dining room and especially the Brasserie 30 lunch. Hopefully Royal Caribbean can make this work or replace it with something that does very soon. And you should definitely send a real letter to Royal Caribbean as well (not an email). If you used a travel agent, include them in this process; they may be able to get your concerns to the “right person” quicker and show that others felt the same about it. Hopefully your next cruise will be much more like your 40+ previous wonderful trips!
