Pre-Cruise Excitement

So my non-cruising, non-traveling, "I traveled the world for business for too many years" husband is getting EXCITED about our upcoming cruise to Hawaii!

We've crossed the "what to pack" hurdle and we are not bringing the lazy boy. We've complicated the pre-cruise stay in Long Beach by booking a pet friendly hotel that accepts our big Yellow Lab so our son and dog can take us to the port and vacay at the beach for two days.

And in answer to the question, what is the first thing you are going to eat when you get on the ship, he is only allowed to say pizza Wink.

I am more excited about this cruise than any others I've been on because I'm hoping it becomes our new "together" hobby.  Here's hoping we don't get kicked off the ship!

Is it the cruise or seeing the Hula dancers?

Ahhhh - the hula dancers ... forgot about them ... no wonder he agreed ...

Can I join your excitement? My first cruise is next week, yay! I hope you enjoy Hawaii. I lived there for several years and I do miss it. Just don't take home any volcanic sand-- bad juju!

You will love it and be eternally hooked!

Well, at least you were able the talk him into going with you.

I hope your hubby finds cruising to his liking.  I was pleasantly surprised mine did and now we have two past times we both enjoy (cruising and Renaissance festivals).  Have fun and please, let us know what he decides.

We had cruised together 30 some years ago on Carnival and other small cruises when we lived in Florida - he will be amazed at how much cruising has changed since then and I believe will enjoy it a zillion times more than he did then. Anything is a step up from those nightmares...ships listing terribly, extremely cramped areas....

We adhere to a very strict TOTB (Too Old to Bitch) policy and know even if he doesn't like it, he will be fun and not ruin my time!

After reading some the recent reviews, I think they should adopt the TOTB because they were on a cruise.

Welcome to the "addiction", sophielynette!!!  Have a wonderful cruise!  Come back and tell us all about it!Wink

Thanks for your encouraging post Debbie!  I love the "TOTB policy"!!! Wink   In November I will be taking my hubby on his first cruise rather he is kicking and screaming or not. lol   He is not one to let's say "get over excited about things".  It will be a family cruise and I'm very excited about it and hoping that by November my husband will be excited like yours Debbie!  Fingers crossed!

I hope you and your husband have an amazing cruise.....and don't get tossed off the ship! Big Smile

Happy Cruising!!!Happy
