Port Canaveral

Oct 8, 2016

PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Hurricane Matthew brought high winds and rain Thursday night, but left behind minimal damage at Port Canaveral, paving the way to resume full operations tomorrow afternoon pending U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port approval.

Although the port opened quickly because there was little damage to the terminals, the Coast Guard restricted ship to daytime only entry and departure.  The channel markers moved during the hurricane.  RRCL finally returned to the port. It was nice to see Carnival, Disney & RRCl ships  departing on their cruises.  The weather at the port is sunny in the 70s and a little breezy today.  Very pleasant outside....

Think we both posted simultaneously about Matthew but you are far more informed - love your updates and info!
