Anyone playing in the final table poker tournament on the Carnival Breeze on August 27th

No. I always hit on 18, and everybody else at the table throws chips at me.

The good news is, I have made over $259 dollars this way.

You win the internet today. But I'm hanging on to my chips.

You should see the looks I get when I split 10s

Almost completely unrelated – apologies for the thread hijack.  Have a friend who won a number of tournaments on another cruise line that led to a spot at the finals including a free cruise.  Sounds awesome, right?  The fine print: it was just a free berth, not a cabin; you had to get to the ship on your own; it was just a 3-night cruise; it was in China.  He decided paying thousands of dollars and flying 20 hours each way wasn’t worth it for a 3-night cruise!

I stay away from the casino deck.  Cannot stand the smoke.  If I want to gamble, I just throw my money down the vacuum john, get a thrill.

I don't gamble.

After living in Las Vegas for a year and having a shop in a casino (remember the Sahara Hotel and Casino)  I'm over casino's for gambling but still like the buffets.

Tell ya what I'll do, because I like you.   Purchase an NCL gift card for me.  I'll  match the funds.  Next cruise I take (April ) I'll go to the casino and play a variety of games.   I'll split any winnings with you 50-50 Big Smile

On the old Funville thread, there were always people trying to sell their seat for the finals.  The only thing they had won was the seat.  Everything else, the cruise, airfare, etc had to be paid for by the entrant.  I always imagined the finals consisted of 5 players who just happened to live near Galveston.

If I could play poker well and I was already going on the cruise, I mIght consider buying the seat.
