Photo Facial Recognition & Grouping

Taking a family cruise with large group.  I heard that the ship photography teams use software that applies level of facial recognition that can be tied to your cabin and others that might be in your pictures.  Does anyone know if this is true?  If so, seems like you could tie your entire travel party together for the purpose of photo packages.  Anyone else hear of this?

It was true for our Carnival sailing in January.  Of course there were still some glitches in the program, but the staff is happy to work with you if that happens!

Not surprising considering the level of technology available these days at not so expensive prices ... especially if it helps the cruise line market and sell their photos better. They make very good money off selling those photos

It also makes it a lot easier to find your photos.  I don't know if all of Carnival's ship have the capability for this yet, but it was a lot easier to find your own pictures.Big Smile

I think I saw it on Carnival.
