Photo Date Stamping at Ports

I snap a shot of the "daily newsletter" before leaving the cabin each morning and also try to snap a shot of the port name.  Whether I am using my cell phone or camera for photo taking, it has made it so much easier later when organizing my photos than messing with the dates.

I rarely use my phone for photos. I usually have my camera in my pocket. It is a nice small point and shoot with a 20x optical zoom so works well for many things. With the camera all files are time and date stamped. When I move them to a computer and eventually onto a disk I have a separate folder for each day and the name reflects the location and in the root folder for the trip is usually an html file from the web showing the itinerary. So folders would look something like

I keep my journal updated. Then when downloading I make my folders.

We always take a photo of the port name when we land and also always photograph our shore excursion ticket.  It is a real help.

All great ideas.  Thanks
