People bad mouthing Carnival that have never cruised on Carnival

What is it with people that have never cruised on Carnival bad mouthing it ?    How can they know if they never tried it ?   I used to avoid Carnival for over my first decade of cruising,  then I tried it and now I have done 8 Carnival cruises.   I have cruised on all of the major lines but Disney and Cunard,  Carnival is not my favorite but it is not at the bottom of my list.  Carnival is the only line with The Concert Series,  I have done 2 concert cruises and both were great.  Carnival has the Comedy club on most ships,  other lines do not have that.

How can you bad mouth before you even try it ??  You can not say "Well I have read a lot of bad reviews of Carnival".  There will be more bad reviews on Carnival because there are just more reviews since they are the largest cruise line today.  I have read bad reviews of all the lines including Cunard and Disney.

Why bad mouth things you know nothing about ?  Your not giving educated comments if you have not cruised on that line.

My Rant is now done.

Have done two CCL cruises and appreciated how good the staff was. Everyone was upbeat and did a great job, it was a good atmosphere. As far as the partiers, it's easy to avoid them unless of course one wants to join them. The Concert Series they have interest me. There was a Sheila E. concert cruise a few months ago. I would have loved to have been on that cruise. I like the comedy on CCL, politically incorrect stuff that I love.

The best cruise is the one that I am on at the time. I have cruised on all the major cruise lines - HAL, Celebrity, Princess, RCCL, NCL, MSC and Carnival. I enjoyed everyone of them.

My family sails with Carnival. I have wanted to sail other lines but it is expensive. And other lines charge you for services and food venues that Carnival has included in their ticket price. When you have three kids you get as much bang for your buck as you can!

I have found Carnival's customer service to be better than Celebrity's while on board.

I think that the only thing Carnival suffers from is the 10% of the customer base that is the most visible (i.e. the Wal-Martians)

I enjoy the Comedy Club on Carnival

Lots of people bad mouth something they have never tried because they think they "know it all" ...I've never met a bad cruise I didn't like ....

Good point. I am guilty of that sometimes. I assume because I have no children, I would not like Carnival. That may not be true. Moving forward I'll remember to comment only what I have personally experienced.

Actually, I have never had a problem with the children on Carnival. The kid's clubs do a great job at keeping them entertained and away from meHappy

I also do not have kids nor do I want to be around them. I cruise when kids are in school and try for longer cruises that kids won't be on. Carnival has great activities for adults, A comedy club with late night adults only, Serenity deck that is over 21 only, some good live music in some of the bars and the Concert series. Last year I saw Journey, this year I saw Jay Leno. the kids club does tend to keep a lot of the rug rats busy.

We have cruised Carnival often, and like other have mentioned the kid situation is manageable. I am not opposed to trying any cruise line if it offers what I'm looking for at the time I book it. I am under the impression most of the line are going more casual than the past standard in the industry, so Carnival isn't the only "bargain basement" option in town. It saddens me when people "bad mouth" things based on others' opinions. Then again, I might make a decision for myself based on another persons experience. I am glad "those people" don't cruise on Carnival, because that means I don't have to put up with them.
