Parking in NY

if anyone is interested in saving some money when they cruise out of NY, here is one option.  The port charges $40/nite, up to 10 nites.   My building, which is only 15 min away, and straight up the West Side Highway, charges about $25 / 24 hours.   A quick car service ride to the pier, or a cab ride back will save some $$$.  The ride is about  $15.

We are the first exit off the Henry Hudson Bridge ( Kappock St. )

We'll be flying in the 29th of September, so no need for parking.  We will be staying in midtown Manhattan to do the tourist thing.  Would love to buy dinner for you and Mrs Cromp if you are available and schedules go as planned.:)

Thank you, but, if we are able to meet, it will be on us..  If you enjoy Kosher deli, we have a great place near us.  We’ll pick you up & drop you off.   Just remind me as we get closer to the date.

Personally, I think you should change your cruise to the Oct 8-18 on Norwegian Gem. 10 nite to Canada with an o/n in Quebec.

The deli sounds great!!

We don't have enough vacation days (or DH and DD don't) to fit in the 10 nite, or that definitely would be appealing.  We've never been to Bermuda, so we are excited about that.

We came across another option last week which we might try on our next cruise out of NY. The one in two weeks is already arranged. But there is a hotel just across the river in Jersey that offers a room the night before, breakfast and parking plus shuttle both ways for $324. We are looking at trying this when next we book.

Hilton Garden Inn Ridgefield Park

That one has great reviews on Trip Advisor and CC.  We've never been to NYC, so we wanted to stay close to the tourist area.  Otherwise that would likely have been the one I chose.

Which hotel are you staying in btw ?
