Parental Advisory on Princess Cruises

I'd posted this with the pool thread but thought we might discuss whether you feel this is an appropriate handout on a cruise.  Got this on the Regal but have never received it before so I am assuming spring break prompted the friendly notice.

Is this a good or bad thing in your opinion?

I think it's good.  I do like children but parent's please keep them under control.  They're your responsibility and not anyone else's.  And NO your children aren't sweet little angels that are fine roaming around on their own.  I'll help hand out the flyers if need be!

I think it's a good idea. Nice concise reminder of the rules, especially the emergency procedures.

I think they should make every guest read and sign that prior to boarding.   It is great I wish every cruise line did that.

This is my favorite part:

I love it!  It is only good as long as it is enforced, but it sounds like the crew is doing that!

I was surprised to see it being handed to parents with children on day one along with the pitch to buy drink packages - lol.  It was placed in all the cabins as well.  However, the part about emergency procedures is something important I would want to know if I had children with me!

I'm good with this... very good actually.  I've been fairly vocal as to my dislike of poorly supervised minors on cruises. Poor parental supervision is probably by #1 cruise bug-a-boo.

It is a shame that cruise lines have to post these.

I agree. Perhaps it's because we have less cruise experience than a lot of members here, but I've never seen unruly children on any of our cruises on Carnival. There were a lot of kids in the pools last month, but they were likely Tweens or early teens and were just hanging out together, not being loud or misbehaving.

I think that Princess does this in a nice way as a reminder to the parents while also giving good emergency instructions for hooking up with kids if an emergency happened. The bulk of the kids I've seen on cruises have been well behaved and well monitored by adults ... The whole thing rests with the parents in my opinion!
