My husband and I who are newly wed -will be taking a cruise to explore Alaska. Would love to meet others that are around our age who are cruise die hards. Nothing crazy just share stories

Congratulations, and welcome to the forum.

When are you headed to Alaska? I am counting the days until August when we go.

You'll want to join the roll call for your cruise here: http://cruiseline.com/rollcall or on our Ship Mate app for your smartphone at http://www.shipmateapp.com

We are going for our first time also but in May--only 59 more days! We are sailing on Celebrity Millennium which is also our first time with Celebrity. We usually sail Royal. Congrats on your recent marriage. My husband and I will be celebrating our 36th year of marriage and are so looking forward to Alaska!

I always wanted to go to Alaska, but can't get away from the sun and beach. When would you vets say is the best time to go to Alaska?

I've heard AUGUST-September is the best, but that land is beautiful anytime of the year.

I can't vouch for the cruise ship, but I have been there and around the area while selling for a wholesaler. August to mid September, if you are real fortunate is the best time. Rain comes and goes on a regular basis, so be ready for it.

I's say the best time is Sept,  after the kids are back in school so you get a more relaxing cruise.   When I was there in Sept we only had one night of rain when we were at sea and a bit of rain in Juno.   Alaska is one of the most beautiful places to see in the world.  I have only been once but I do want to go back.

Davenlorena...... sign up for roll call as Simon suggested.  I like it better on Ship mate app for your smart phone that also has non-ship excursions listed and suggestions form past travelers of where is good to go, see and eat in each port.  Congrats on getting hitched you will love Alaska.

Thanks! My boyfriend lived in Alaska and wants to go back. My busiest time at work is generally July through Early September, so maybe I can go sometime in Mid September!
