It's 3:26 am on embarkation day and you suddenly awake from a deep sleep and to your horror you remembered you forgot what?

Well, this time I almost forgot to cancel the hotel reservation we had to change when my brother decided to come with us.

We always park our car near the airport at one of those park and pay lots. We made it to the airport and I remembered that I left my cell phone on the charger in the car. We were on an 8 day cruise and stayed in Orlando for 2 days. By the time we made it back to the car, my battery was drained.

So far the only thing I ever forgot on a cruise was a hairbrush and I simply picked one up in the gift shop...

I am way too organized when it comes to vacations with lists and reminders so I haven't yet forgotten anything. Thankfully my son lives close by so he can check if I think I've forgotten to lock a door etc. We also fly into our port city a couple of days early which would give us time to buy anything we may have forgotten to pack.

My passport.

Luckily I wake up and realize it was only a nightmare.

So in your scenario, we haven’t actually left yet and we’ve still got 8 to 12 hours until we have to board the ship?  Happy to have remembered.  Should be plenty of time to take care of whatever.  (Personally, I’d probably just be finishing up packing about that time.  2 hours sleep the night before a cruise is normal, right?)

Never happen... Both Monique and I are way to anal when it comes to travel.

I, too, keep a detailed list so I don't have this happen to me.  But, I do wake up anyway and try to remember if I have forgotten something else like if I actually paid a bill or not.  Or, I might wake  up afraid that the alarm won't go off so I have to check that I set it correctly.  I guess something will always keep us awake before a trip.

That's why a check and double check for everything.  I get way too anxious.

Normally don't forget anything, but if I did, I would need to get a taxi to wherever to pick it up before heading to the port.
