Looks like someone did not do their homework regarding the ports visited, nor did they ask questions when booking (handicapped access). If you want someone to get additional tip you should hand it to them personally, He may never have gotten it. Tips are not mandatory you can go to the purser's office and adjust the tip according to services rendered. The entire staff share in the tip on your bill. We like to have part of the tip taken off the bill and give tips personally to those who served us. However since you do not necessarily have the same wait staff the billed tip insures they also are tipped. One of the reasons the cruise lines (not just NCL) have been putting tips on the bill is so many passengers either didn't budget for tips and spent most of their cash or just plain stiffed the staff. By the way Sinatra is a personal choice as is Ethel Merman. Since you have been on cruises before you should know that you can ask to play anything and to turn down the volume. They will play what the crowd wants to hear. Personally I prefer instrumentals but most people want songs. It seems you were looking for things to complain about......live with it!
