Just checked aboard. Finished lunch. In the buffet. Having a soda and tea. Playing cards waiting for our cabin. Senior wait staff told us we were not authorized to play cards in the dining room. First time ever we have heard this rule. He argued with us. We are experience NCL cruisers. Platinum years ago.

They may need to turn the tables over as quickly as possible for other lunch diners
Your comment about the way you face on the toilet is a new highlight. I have never given a moment of thought about whether I face forward or aft or starboard. Do things flow better when facing the port side? Hhhmmm.
Notify your attorney about missing muster drill immediately! Threaten the cruise line and demand your money back!
NO GAMBLING in the dining room! (j/k)
We have had good and bad experiences with embarkation. One lesson we learned early on.... fly in a day (or two) before the sail date. It definitely eliminated a lot of travel and transition stress. Might be worth considering next time if you are able to be flexible.
