I try to remind all smokers and friends of smokers to mention inadequacies to the cruise line on the after cruise questionnaire and any follow up communication with individual lines. We (smokers) have a voice. Unfortunately, we just don't speak loudly enough. Not surprising though. Smokers seem to be the more considerate passengers. Happy Sailing

Not as bad as being forced into the cigarette area for a vape!
I did just that. I complained about having to walk through a smoky casino to get to and from the World Stage ( main Theater on the Koningsdam.) My eyes teared up when it was crowded. It is also hard to maneuver through when it is crowded and passenger empty out of the theater all at once. I also mentioned it in my review which is ready for posting here.
I honestly don't understand what the problem is with the casino.
I understand it is (to say the least) problematic for non-smokers, but why can't the line make some minimal design changes with technology we have had for the last couple of decades (or centuries);
- Install a good air exchanger that vents to the outside of the ship (or better yet to the exhaust)
- Build a wall to separate the non-smoking side from the smoking side (basically 2 smaller casinos in place of one larger one.)
- Follow Celebrity's cue to make the casino non-smoking at all times (I'm not really a fan of this one)
- Relocate the casino away from the main thoroughfare
