No Good

New England, Canada Cruise 10-15-16 on the Regal Princess.

We had a cabin with urine leaking from the other cabin, the food was awful and the staff surly, the overall condition of the ship was well worn. Also, we felt that the excursions were boring.  Very disapointing for a newer ship. We have cruised on the sister ship, the Royal,  terrific!

Wow, we have been on both the Regal and Royal 4 times for about two months total sailing, over the last two years. The last time we were on the Regal was 8 months ago.

Things must have really deteriorated in that 8 month stretch, as I thought the Regal was rather spiffy and well kept up in February. They didn’t have hardly any dents in the wainscoting on the corners of the cabin alcoves like the Royal has.

I thought the Royal was a relatively new ship?

Probably could have handled a few dents if everything else wasn't so bad.

We have cruised Princess for about 15 years and never felt anything but pleased.  Oh well, no more for me.

It is, being worn out surprises me too! But the staff, the food and the plumbing.... should not have been that bad.

Regal went into service two years ago this last May.

We have sailed on Princess since 1990, have almost 300 days racked up since then with them. We almost have a total of 600 days though, as we also use Regent and HAL.  Not one unpleasant cruise yet.  Knock on wood. We also did a three week Fall color Cruise Tour with Princess beginning in Toronto on a coach then on the Caribbean Princess, @ Quebec City, through New England, south down the east coast and ending in Houston. One year ago. A super voyage and tour.

Here are my thoughts on what the Regal was like beginning on the first of February this year:  http://cruiseline.com/ship/regal-princess/review/417199

So sad to hear this.  We sailed on her January 2015 and she was  beautiful then.  We liked it well enough to sail on Princess again this December.

I was really sad as Princess has always been our go to for family get togethers and fun... we have cruised other lines but not fair to compare.

Better to be pissed off than pissed on.
