I'm seeing more and more of these. I think it's probably more cost effective to keep a ship in one port versus burn fuel and add port charges to get in two ports in the same amount of time. Time will tell if this is going to succeed. Customer feedback is going to be essential on this. Unless it is a really stellar port, I'd rather pay a little more and get some variety in. I'm traveling on vacation because I want to see new places.

I think this is an interesting concept..I found sometimes we left port so early we had no time to experience the island. I looked at some of the itineraries and I think this may work.

I like the idea depending on the port. On our Grand Voyage we had several overnights and it enabled us to take in evening shows and also to spend longer time in ports. I hope that the idea catches on. In some ports passengers complain that they were only there for a few hours. It will be interesting to see how this idea flies.

I like the idea, it gives you time to have a local dinner out and see what the night life is like in that port. I wounder if there is a curfew to be back on the ship or if you can come and go at any hour as you please (security would have t be at the Gang Plank 24 hours a day)

I would be more interested in over night stops in Europe and the Mediterranean. Over night could be a lot of fun in Mykonos and Santorini Greece, with the Greek food and Beer I'd be a happy camper.
