Too bad. These floating cities are cold and impersonal. And food and service suffer.  Can't wait for that RV show in September.

Coming soon, Honey Boo-Boo Takes a Cruise !!!!!!   " Don't you all redneckonise me ???

It will be interesting to see the ships when they come out.   From the article it does not look like the ships will be for lines that cruise the US.  I am looking forward to the Carnival Vista when she is out next year.

News of new ships is always exciting.  I'll be interested in their ports of call.  Looks like the ships are getting bigger.  Hope that the port are also.  Tendering in takes time away from port time.  Smaller port can't handle bigger ships and even with tendering, the port get overcrowded.

I get articles about these mega ships more frequently now that before. I enjoy the smaller ships, but may-just may take a short cruise to see for myself. At this moment in time, being very busy at work causing delays in taking time off, when I do go, I am leaning toward a more luxury line like Regent/ Oceania. Has anyone been on these lines?

When the new big ships come out, the price drops on the old smaller ships. The big ships can be a good thing for those of us that like the smaller ships as the families with kids go for the big ships with all the attractions leaving the smaller ships for the adults without children travelers.

In a related story, Carnival has contracted with a German engineering firm to place a keel on, and physically cut a large portion of Florida from the United States.   A representative stated that floating cities are no longer a challenge, so we are building a floating state.
