This question can also be directed to people like me. Ive only done 5 CCL trips.  Im concerned about trying RCL on an Oasis class.  You have to make advanced reservations for dinner and shows?  How would I know what to reserve?  No clue how RCL is like.

The dinner, only if you want a specialty restaurant or doing My time (which I tend to stick with the classic seating). The shows, yes, if you want to try and secure a spot. You can always wait in a line and they let general admission open about 15 minutes before the show, but the best bet is reserve. We didn't do any reservations, but the BF was never too interested in shows. This time around, I reserved one of everything at a decent time.
