New RFID cabin locks vs magnetic strip cards

Does anyone have a preference between the magnetic strip key cards and the emerging RFID cards and bracelets on a couple of lines?   Liked the bracelets, but didn't seem to work as reliably as the key card at the bars.  Any other opinions?

Definite preference. I much prefer the card. I am not a fan of jewelry neither rings nor bracelets so to me the rfid becomes an encumbrance. At least with the card it can reside in my shirt pocket and be used when needed. The other thing that rfid is used for is that it can track exactly where you are, which doors you passed through, which stairs you used to move about, etc. No thanks I have enough big brother tracking already.

Thanks

Cards are preferred.

I actually prefer the RFID. If it is working properly, you don't need to juggle two cups of coffee, two plates from the buffet and your keycard to open your doorBig Smile

You can keep your RFID in your pocket - the doors and/or the sales people will be able to pick up the signal.

As far as the tracking capability, that doesn't really bother me. If the line wishes to waste their time following me around the ship and knowing where I am on board, more power to them. The fact that they currently have cameras all over the place pretty much allows them to track me now.

The RFID allows no more tracking ability than the typical smart phone.
