New and looking for suggestions

Hi all, just joined.  I will be sailing on Harmony of the Seas during Thanksgiving week.  I became a widower approximately 2 years ago and I will be sailing with my two teenagers for the first time.  They will be going off on their own throughout the ship without dads help.  Any suggestion for me on the day to day things to do on the ship?

Look at the daily flyers the Activities staff sends out everyday, it will be filled with activities and all the information you need in regards to what's going on throughout the ship.  Keep it with you, as well as your Sea Pass card (which is your room key but you will also need it for onboard purchases and for getting on/off the ship).  If for some reason you lose your daily flyer, you can always get one at the Customer Service/Purser's Desk.  It will also be delivered to your room every night.

Broadwaybaby said what I was going to say.   I will add that all ships have single mixers at night in one of the bars listed int the flyers.   I have found the piano bar's a nice place to spend an evening and meet other singles in a friendly non-pick-up environment.

As with virtually any cruise ship....theres lots of stuff for singles to do...all you really need to do is wander, read the dailies, and be friendly.....besides, chances are you wont see any of those folks again....well.....unless you REALLY want to....

Hope you enjoy your cruise!

Depending on the line you chose, the ship will probably have a phone app that has the dailies posted, so you don't need to keep track of the paper version.

Everybody above hit the main points -- just go and relax.

Agreed.  You can be as active or relaxed as you want to be.  I sailed with my teenage son a few years back, and left the hubby and daughter home. Prior to sailing I was somewhat nervous about being bored, however, best time. I participated in events that I wouldn't have normally done and met some great people. The only thing I required of my son was that he ate dinner with me 3 of the nights ( 7 day cruise).  We actually did another mother and son cruise a few months after.

Have a great time.

Trying to restrain my self heheheh...you two did another?  who threatened whom with what?? j/k ….actually, one of the things we like to do is watch other people at dinner (NOT the buffet o course)...trying to guess who is trying to hook up with whom. We've noticed old married types don't talk all that much...they eat....whereas folks that have just met (or sumpin) have these serious, earnest discussions going on...looks like plan 14B to me...
