i would also love to know what to do in picton and wellington! i have posted on this forum several times but i don't think anyone has gone there as i have never gotten a response:)

In Dunedin, we took a tour on multi-passenger ATVs and saw lots of wildlife!

Here are some photos from our 2012 cruise. Probably have to copy/paste to the URL;

Have you posted to a roll call yet?

ja crickets.

Wellington has the WETA Studios which is where Peter Jackson had the special effects made for the Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit etc. Really good place to visit and so interesting. It is at Mirramar. We caught a taxi at the bottom of the cable car and the driver took us, waited for us and then gave us a scenic ride home via Mt Victoria. There were 4 of us so we thought $25 each was a bargain. Picton is a very scenic little town and has wonderful walks in the bush up the hill leading to spectacular views.

Dunedin has Olveston House which is set up ready to use in yesterdays lifestyle. Great tour guides and a very interesting story.

Picton has some lovely walks and great views.

Napier is the Art Deco capital of the world. It is built on land that came up after an earthquake in 1930 so most houses built in the same style. Art Deco everywhere.
