NCL- your thoughts as a whole.
So I just wanted to gauge people's thoughts on NCL as a whole. It seems as if all of the suddent their reputation as seemed to have taken a turn for the worse ( a lot of my customers have been refusuing to even consider NCL all of the sudden). I wanted to just see what ya'll thought of NCL as a whole. Personally, they are one of my fav. cruise lines, mostly because I'm a fan of the free style cruising, and I do like their price points for some of their older ships..... Anyone want to tell me their experience as a whole? I can not for the life my me figure out why suddenly people are shying away from them.

Tell your customers to stay off Cruise Critic. Nothing but negative comments about everything. A regular bitchfest over there.

We've been on NCL 7 times, including the Norway. Our 8th will be in Feb on the Breakaway. Been on the Gem 3 times. They make it very affordable to get on, but then they try to get every last nickel out of you. That being said, for an intro category line, their food is very good better than two other beginner lines, IMHO. All the restaurants are excellent. The shows can be a hit or miss, but that's true of all the lines I think. You either like them or you don't. The White Hot Parties are fun. The Dufry shops are the same everywhere. Better to buy at DI on the islands.
Service is excellent. Cabins are clean, as is the rest of the ship. At least the ones we've been on. CS is great. Any issues are handled promptly. We love the casualness of freestyle. Not rushing back to the ship for dinner or whatever.
