NCL Has a New Private Island in Belize

In November 2016, NCL opened its new private island in Belize.  It is called Harvest Caye.  The 78-acre private island has 7 acres of sandy beaches.  It also has a pool with a swim-up bar.  There are plenty of other activities available such as parasailing, kayaking and Zip Lining among others.  And kids have their own Splash Park.  Harvest Caye also has a village of stores, restaurants and bars.  I just may now have a reason to return to Belize.  On my last cruise there, passengers were advised to stay close to the dock unless going on an organized  shore excursion.  Here is an aerial view right from NCL Website. Visit the NCL Website for more information and photos.

Very very very beautiful. The landscaping will take you away. My only problem I have there is the prices. They are expensive. For a private island, one would think they would carry over some the ship perks but I didn't let that bother me too much. There's plenty of free activities to do and like I said, the landscape is great.

NCL has several changes forthcoming.   The term Freestyle Cruising will be replaced with something else. Notice the scraping off of the paint on the hulls.   They will also be enhancing their Latitudes Rewards Program.  Currently, you become Platinum @ 76 points. But they don't have anything else til 250 points, so I guess they will be adding a couple of tiers in between.

And the new BLISS will be hitting the Alaskan waters.  She is custom built for those itineraries.
