Has anyone done the Atlantis Beach day & Discover Atlantis?

Aunt PINKIE has it exactly right...that's why quite often we don't even bother getting off the ship if we've been to a port before, and didn't find it all that interesting. I like the use of the word "tedious", especially in contrast to the fact that we have never found any cruise we've been on tedious. But then, we don't always schedule one for the ports of call...we like cruising for the general ambiance of the ship. For newbies, keep on cruising, keep on getting off, experience it for yourself, and decide, the SECOND time you happen to visit Nassau, if its worth wandering around. The same applies to virtually any port of call. Especially the safety part, as AUNTPINKE mentioned...

We found Nassau enjoyable. Our first time there was a week after Sandy went through so not so much but we were there last December a week before Christmas and enjoyed it very much.

Old Gey Wolf, how was the weather that time of the year in Nassau?

Fabtabulous. The weather is Nassau was great and the day after we were in Great Stirrup Key and that was a beautiful sunny warm day, Perfect weather both days

Been there recently- it's about a 15 min walk. Even did a YouTube video so you could see what it's like there- It's a nice free beach to hang at.

We only get off to hit Dunkin’ Donuts up the road from the ship. Good coffee. Goood coffee
