Nassau Bahamas

Has anyone done the Atlantis Beach day & Discover Atlantis?

I have not.  Many of us have been to Nassau and it's a stay on the ship port.  I would just go to Atlantis and enjoy.  I've thought about it myself if I go back.  Just my opinion.

Agree with TODD ...been to Nassau 3x...got off the first time......that was the last time...and that was a few years back...but first time cruisers....you gotta make up your own mind....went to Atlantis with my wife and my folks on an anniversary, not bad, not good, theres better....

Been to Nassau 4 times. Did a city tour, a tour of Atlantis, 2 walk abouts. Straw market area is over crowded and sometimes vendors can be too agressive.

Six years ago we did the Atlantis water park pass and Dolphin swim. We loved it but it is expensive. It was a one time treat that I would not repeat but was a unique and fun experience. The dolphin swim aside the Atlantis water park is just that ... a very nice water park with high priced food and drinks as would be expected at most water parks.

Been to Nassau 2x, first time went to someday, tide very rough but there head just been a hurricane came through. Second time we did a best of Nassau and lived it. Whenever we go again will just walk from ship to around  the port.

Has anyone ever went on their own and gone to Junkanoo beach?  Did you feel safe in doing so?

Yes, the beach is just a short walk from the cruise pier and its very safe.

We have walked to and from the straw market which is on the way to the beach. A great excuse to stop at Pirate Republic the local craft beer establishment

What was so bad about getting off in Nassau. Just booked my 1st cruise there for December 2018. Just looking for as much advise as possible since I’m new at this.

A lot of people do not like Nassau and/or have been there many times and find it tedious. Personally, we enjoy Nassau and have gotten off the ship each visit. One of our favorite places to visit on the island is the Pirates'  museum, within walking distance of the ship.  The island has a reputation for aggressive vendors and pickpockets. as long as you don't go off walking alone and keep an eye on your stuff (like you should in any town/city), you'll be fine.
