Moderator?

How does "moderator" work? I see that appear next to people's name randomly?

I imagine that people invited to be mods are members of the forum who 1. want to take on the responsibility and 2. demonstrate the ability to be fair and open minded when disputes erupt.

I always wondered if it was a paid position... Paid in love and admiration!

We keep an eye on things and make sure "Community Standards" are upheld to keep the site clean and friendly.   We do not get paid for it,  we are just helping the site out.
