Med cruise

I just posted about doing US cruises but my dream cruise is a Med cruise.  Been dreaming of doing it since I was a child when my dad would (and still does) repeat his stories about his Med cruise courtesy of the US Navy back in '68.  He made a lot of stops and did a lot of sightseeing.  If I ever do a Med cruise I would try to see all the places he did:  France, Italy, Greece, and Turkey.  What other places would you add to the list of places to see on a Med cruise?

Hope your dreams come true.

Venice, Korcula, Kotor, Corfu, Malta, Messina, Nice.

Of all my cruises the Greek Islands was my favorite, they are beautiful, great food, good local beers for each island and very nice people. Mainland Greece not as nice as the Islands. I have done the Med a couple times and I still want to go back and see more.

With the exchange rate now is not a bad time to go Big Smile.

I'd love to take a European vacation, complete with a cruise or three, but do not have the time.

One day, I will make it.

Consider Malta. It is a very clean island where there is no crime and everyone is employed. At least this is how it was when we visited.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Maybe next year will book a Med cruise.

We're doing a Med cruise Sept. of next year. It's 9 nights, leaves from Rome with stops in Messina, Mykonos, Kusadasi (Ephesus), Santorini, Piraeus (Athens) and Naples. Are any of those on your fathers list? Italy and Greece have been on my bucket list for years and this cruise can not come soon enough.

My dad made it to France, Italy, Greece, and Turkey. Not sure if he went to any of the Greek Islands. I think it was just the mainland.
