MASS MARKETING

Good Day,

Is it just me, or has anyone on the forum been inundated with e-mails, phone calls, mailing, regarding cruising? I follow a few travel sites and correspond with quite a few friends in the industry. I have received this week alone over twenty e-mails regarding cruises, staycations, and all inclusives, these are in addition to my subscribed sites updates. It appears that the industry is doing a full court press to reach as many people as they can in the shortest amount of time.. And don't even start mentioning the tele-marketers.......Or is it just me?????Yummy

It's not just you. I think once you join cruise forum boards they somehow get your e-mail address. I've been getting them, too.

I get about 3 to 6 e-mail a day and a few snail mail a week.   I get them from the lines I have gone on and even from lines I have never been on.  When I went and logged into NCL web page to look at things the next day I got a Phone call from NCL because I looked but did not book a trip.  I received a phone call from Celebrity to let me know that I have a new cruise adviser to introduce himself to me for future bookings and if I had any questions.

The  lines do seam to be pushing to fill up all the cabins on all the ships.

January through April is the big push for cruise lines.  They know people get their income tax refunds.

So far, I guess that I have just been lucky.  I have not gotten any phone calls or emails about cruises other than ones I get by request.  Let's hope that I don't jinx myself.  i am on the Forum a lot.  Happy

Hey maybe they found out that I never get a tax refund so they don't bother to contact me, Laugh, laugh!

Just wanted to mention that several times I started to place an order for a retail item just to find out the shipping price and the same thing happened to me.  I was contacted by email stating that I had not completed my purchase and was offered a discount as an incentive.  It worked and I did order each time.

I think that everyone on this forum should receive a free cruise, so we can all meet each other. Of course, the telemarketers will have to provide airfare and drink packages to everyone. Maybe start a phone tree to gather opinions.........

Tonque firmly in cheek,,,,,,,,Yummy

Never got a free cruise before.   I have been upgraded from run of the ship Balcony to one of the over sized balconies on the slant of the ship on Celebrity (the Balconies on the angle are triangle shaped so much larger then standard)

If your ship ever comes to Nassau Bahamas do check out www.bahamascoupon.com the newest daily deal site for Nassau Bahamas!!! It is similar to groupon and living social

E-mails cost nothing. I usually delete them without reading them
